Condition
The relining of this unframeed canvas is still effective. The background and other darker areas have been abraded and aubsequently repainted. The paint surface is dirty and under a discoloured varnish. Discoloured retouchings and strengthenings are visible to the naked eye, as is the aformentioned overpaint in the background. Small cracks are present in the paint surface upper centre and upper right. UV light reveals extensive retouchings in the background, though the flowers and doves are preserved much better.
