Condition
The canvas has been relined.
The paint surface retains much of its original impasto under an old dirty varnish.
There are some scattered small areas of old blistering which are now secure.
Inspection under UV light reveals old scattered repainting in the darks of the background and old strengthenings around the dead birds, the mushrooms and the foliage in the upper left hand corner.
Offered in gold paint wood and plaster frame with some minor knocks.
