Circle of Frans Francken the Younger and Circle of Abraham Govaerts

The cradled support consists of two horizontal panels. The paint surface is secure if a little abraded and under a thick varnish which has discoloured somewhat. UV light reveals retouchings along the panel joins, some in the sky and in the tree upper left. However, the thick varnish prevents satisfactory inspection. There is some repaint in the sky and other retouchings are present in the lower half of the composition. Offered in a wood and plaster frame with some knocks.
