Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been lined.
PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in reasonably good condition. There is one area of retouching to previous damage in the lower right corner, and there is one small hole in the canvas, upper right. There is a dirty and discoloured varnish overall.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals minor scattered retouchings in the upper section of the canvas, as well as a thick and very opaque varnish.
FRAME
Held in a painted wooden frame, with a gilded inner edge.
