Condition
The canvas is unlined. The paint surface is in good condition, clean and secure with thick passages of impasto under the glossy varnish.
Inspection under UV light reveals minor scattered retouching work throughout, most notably in the sky and infilling some of the fine craquelure in the sea.
Offered in gilt wood frame with plaster mouldings in good condition.
