Provenance
The Royal House of Hanover, Schloss Marienberg.
Condition
The canvas has a good effective relining which has not flattened the paint surface. The paint surface is clean and the impasto is well preserved in the clothing. UV light reveals comsetic strengthenings in the clothing and retouching in the face and hair, for example in the nose. Overall in clean condition and can hang now. Offered in its original elaborate carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
