The canvas has a stable relining. The paint surface, which is under a yellowed varnish, is stable if a little abraded in the darker areas, for example in the tree. Scattered retouchings can be made out, some of which have discoloured and there are areas of repaint in the sky. Some details are well preserved, for example in the figures' hair. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in fair condition.
