Description

  • A young man, bust length, holding a stick
  • oil on panel, unframed

Condition

The panel is flat, uncradled, and bevelled along the lower and right margins. There is a vertical split, possibly along an old panel join, that is visible in the catalogue illustration and that is now stable. There are some small restored losses on the moth, nostril and right eye and in the lower left corner. The paint surface is otherwise in an excellent state of preservation, although is quite dirty and would benefit from a clean. Sold unframed.
