PAINT SURFACE
There would appear to be no tears or damages, and the work would appear to be in good condition. There is surface dirt overall.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals a few recent retouchings to a dog in the foreground, and to the upper horizontal edge. A thick opaque varnish prevents further analysis.

Held in a plaster gilt frame.
