  • inscribed to the reverse with inventory number: 64 
  • oil on canvas, in a painted oval, with additions to all four corners

The Royal House of Hanover;
Their sale, Schloss Marienburg, Sotheby's , 5 October 2005, lot 140. 

Condition

The canvas which has been made up from an oval has an old effective relining. The paint surface, which is covered in a thick layer of dirt and discoloured varnish, is in good condition. There are some very minor very scattered retouchings throughout. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals onily some more recent resoration to the extensions. Offered in a gilt wood frame in good condition.
