Description
- A Still Life with Pitcher, Glasses, a loaf of bread and a platterA Still life with Writing Materials, a knife, a quill, ink and sealing wax
- the latter signed upper left on the label around the neck of the bottle: Bonaventura R***
- a pair: both oil on canvas, unlined
Condition
The canvases are unlined. The surfaces are well preserved although characterised by an uneven craquelure within the stretcher marks. On the still life with writing materials there is a small hole on the bottom of the bottle, a small loss on the knife and a very small loss on the parchment; on the other there is a thin line of loss along the lower stretcher mark. There are some very minor losses amongst the craquelure. The paint surfaces are generally very well preserved and would however benefit from a clean.
