Dr. S. von Licht (L.789b)

Condition

Laid down. There are two very tiny pin-prick holes at the upper part of the left edge. Some very small dark spot stains across the centre, but barely noticeable. There is a slight darkening of the sheet at the left edge, possibly from the paper being laid down. Otherwise in very good condition, the chalk still fresh.

Catalogue Note

A charming study for the penitent Magdalen which resembles the paintings of 17th-century Venetian artists, such as Sebastiano Mazzoni or Girolamo Forabosco.
