Provenance
A. Maggiori (L.3005b), his inscription in brown ink, recto: Io Aless. Maggiori / comprai a Roma / nel 1803.
Condition
The sheet is a little yellowed, and there are some light fox marks, particularly towards the edges. Two small red wash spot stains in the upper centre. A very small hole in the lower right corner. The verso has some old mount hinges still attached. Overall, however, condition is fine.

Although both these studies (recto and verso) do not seem connected with any known work by Giulio Campi, the style of this sheet appears quite close to the artist.
