Condition

Horizontal creases across centre of sheet and towards top. Light diagonal crease, lower right corner. Minor areas of thinning, top edge. Some surface dirt at the bottom, but overall condition good and fresh.

Catalogue Note

The influence of Spranger is here evident in both the composition and the figure types, but the technique has little to do with that artist, and seems to point to a German origin for the drawing.
