Condition

Lined canvas. The inscription on the lining seems to be transcribed from the original canvas. The surface is soiled and dull, and with some thinness, particularly on the hair. A long, horizontal scratch crosses the figure's forehead; a few small sprinkles of white paint and a small area of paint loss at center right. Under UV light: very small touch-ups on the face and in the background near the upper edge.
