SURFACE: in good condition UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: several areas of canvas where pigments fluoresce--there appears to be heavy strengthening to most of the figures and horses and some inpainting at upper left and lower right corners (does not affect signature)--one questions whether some of this is due to the natural fluorescing of pigments; there are a couple of definitely inpainted strokes at upper left corner in sky
