Canvas is lined. SURFACE: surface has been compressed somewhat by relining, although there is good pigment retention; scattered craquelure UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: most of sky (particularly right half) is heavily strengthened; a few minor-looking spots of inpainting scattered throughout lower half of painting, most of them along lower edge
