Condition

Canvas is not lined. SURFACE: most of work appears to be in fairly good condition with some craquelure and light stretcher marks; the left side of her face has a problem--a puncture on her left check has resultant paint loss around it (hole is about 1/2 in. wide)--craquelure with cupping from her cheek up to her left temple--at the left temple is a small area of severe cupping with flaking imminent; a small loss to her left cornea UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: work is clear of restoration except for the aforementioned area on the left side of her face where there is scattered inpainting--an unsuccessful attempt to correct the paint loss
