  • Portait présumé de Gabriel Delessert; Portrait de François-Marie Delessert avec un enfant à l'arrière plan
  • L'un, fusain avec rehauts de blanc sur papier;
    L'autre, lavis de bistre avec rehauts de blanc sur traits de crayon noir sur papier; un lot de deux
  • 23,5 x 21 cm ; 9 1/4 by 8 1/4 in., et 25 x 19,5 cm ; 10 by 7 2/3 in.

Condition

a) Very good overall condition. Old mark along the board is visible on the reproduction. The paper is slightly crinkled. The drawing has moved inside his frame. Wooden blackened frame. b) Good overall condition. Brown marks, specially on the lower part, are visible on the reproduction. There is a scratch on the upper right-hand corner of the image. Yellow wooden frame.

Catalogue Note

François-Marie (1780-1868) et Gabriel (1786-1858) étaient les frères de Benjamin Delessert (1773-1847), régent de la Banque de France, propriétaire d'un important domaine rue de Passy et député de Paris. La fille de François-Marie, Caroline, épousa Jean-Henri Hottinguer en 1832.
