Condition

Original canvas. The painting is slightly more yellowed than the catalogue shows. The varnish is a bit yellowed. A small lack on the lower part of the picture at the foot level visible on the image. Some big cracks, namely on the upper part. Interlaced frame decorated with metal flowers and with stucco. Many lacks.

Notre tableau est très probablement un portrait de Philippe Rodolphe Hottinguer (1806-1878), fils de Jean-Conrad Hottinguer et de Martha Elisa Redwood (voir lots 71 et 72) et frère de Jean-Henri et Rodolphe (voir lots 76 et 77).
