A very small repaint in the middle of the sky-area. Two more very small repaints, one on the sea-area an the other on the left side of the picture.

Catalogue Note
Durand-Brager effectua de nombreux voyages en Europe, en Algérie et le long des côtes atlantiques de l'Afrique, avant d'entrer dans l'atelier d'Eugène Isabey. En 1840, il fit partie de l'expédition chargée de ramener les cendres de l'Empereur Napoléon Ier. Il était le dessinateur attaché à cette expédition et il fut décoré à cette occasion de la Croix de la Légion d'Honneur en 1844. Il a peint de nombreuses scènes de batailles navales, dont certaines lui furent commandées par le gouvernement français. Il peignit aussi pour l'Empereur de Russie et l'Empereur d'Autriche.
