There is a small patch on the back of the picture and another one of about 10 cm on the lower part on the right-hand side.
Under ultraviolet light:
Some repaints on the sky-area on the right of the boat and a small repaint above the stocks of the trees.

Catalogue Note
Le tableau était légèrement plus grand à l'origine, une bande verticale d'environ 40 centimètres a été découpée sur la partie droite par les précédents propriétaires.
Ami de Jongkind et de Boudin, cet artiste marseillais vécut tout d'abord à Paris. Il aimait alors peindre les falaises de la Manche et la mer du Nord. Plus tard, il retourna à Marseille et sa palette devint plus colorée et plus vive pour dépeindre Marseille et la côte varoise. On peut voir certaines de ses œuvres dans les musées d'Aix-en-Provence, Beziers, Grenoble et Tourcoing.
