The painting is brighter than the catalogue shows. There are some very tiny brown marks under the branch of the orange tree, just above the group of the characters (visible on the reproduction).
Great gilt wood frame.

Catalogue Note
La composition de notre tableau est répertoriée à plusieurs reprises dans l'oeuvre connue d'Unterberger. Nous savons que l'artiste, qui ne s'est jamais marié, était amoureux de la jeune femme représentée sur cette toile. Il a tout d'abord peint une première version, un tondo (conservée par les descendants de l'artiste, voir Sybille-Karin Moser, F.R Unterberger und die salonfähige Landschaftsmalerei im 19.Jh., Innsbruck-Wien 1986, n°135, reproduit p.135), puis en a fait plusieurs repliques, dont l'oeuvre présentée ici.
