The work is in generally good condition, there is a nice old lining, dirty varnish. There is some fine craquelure most noticeably along the top edge of the building. There are a few visible spots of restoration in raking light. Slight abrasion to canvas most noticeably in the sculptures and two columns. UNDER UV: Lightly scattered spots of inpainting throughout the sky, there is a repaired tear about 4 in. long from the top of the building at right and two $.25 size spots above St. Mark's column. There is a spot the size of two $.25 lower right corner. There are a few other small spots in the lower half of the work.
