Description

  • A sheet of ten watercolour views of Jeddah, and elsewhere, mostly round the Red Sea, 1868
10 watercolours (ranging from 220 x 160mm. to 120 x 160mm.), nearly all captioned, dated and signed with initials in ink or pencil, mounted recto and verso on a single sheet of thick paper (545 x 360mm.)

Camp at Zoulla, Annerly Bay. 9. Koomayli. 10. Arabian coast, Red Sea. Some or all of thse views appear to have made by Danford while with the British Abyssinian Expedition of 1868.
