Belleten, the official journal of the Turkish Historical Society, was founded and named by Atatürk in 1937, to make known to the broader world works concerning Turkish history and archaeology, and to publish scientific research and documents, bibliographical studies, etc. The articles in this important periodical are mainly in Turkish, but occasionally English, French or German.
