Second edition, 3 volumes text and atlas, together 4 volumes, 4to (305 x 235mm.) and folio (550 395mm.), 87 engraved plates, maps and charts (plate 13 is a proof before letters), folding table at end of volume 3, text in contemporary straight-grained red morocco gilt, spines in compartments with raised bands gilt, with ship and dolphin tools, gilt edges, atlas in contemporary red half morocco over marbled boards, some light browning and offsetting to text and plates, plate 13 with tear (not affecting engraved area)
