extensively corrected and annotated typescript of a detailed and apparently unpublished report on Hijaz and the Hajj in the 1920s, reporting conditions just before the annexation of the region by Ibn Saud, describing pilgrim routes, the processes for undertaking the Hajj from Sudan, conditions in Hijaz ("...Owing to the wise dispensations of Ibn Saud it has been possible for the first time to ascertain the charges to which a pilgrim is liable...") including the possibility of Sudanese pilgrims being taken into slavery and other dangers, in seven chapters, with appendices, 72 pages, folio, in a blue-green folder
