Catalogue Note
This is a fine manuscript with Liszt's extensive revisions and alterations in multicoloured inks, containing, besides the extensive additions on separate leaves, his autograph annotations and cuts throughout the score ("...Alle diese Pausen sind überflüssig--Die erste Seite ist Einfach auf 3 Zeilen zu stecken--(Tenor Solo, und Pianoforte) bis zu dem Eintritt des Chors...(Pianoforte) 2 Zeilen genügen für diese 16 Takte...").
Originally composed in 1855, the vocal score of Liszt's Der 13. Psalm ("Herr, wie lange willst Du meiner sogar vergessen") was published by Kahnt of Leipzig in 1878; the 46 pages are marked off in pencil throughout this manuscript. Raabe lists no autograph manuscript for this work.
