  • Two fine early editions, one signed by Charles Wesley (1757-1834).
1) The Songs in Messiah an Oratorio, London, Walsh, [c.1767-1768] [Smith no.5], 70 pages, folio (34 x 23.5cm), manuscript inscription to title ("To Mrs Green humbly presented by Charles Wesley junior'"), signed by the publisher on the title, nineteenth-century quarter calf



2) Te Deum et Jubilate, for voices and instruments...N.o 212, [London, Walsh, c.1732 or later] [Smith no.2], 71 pages, folio (36.5 x 23cm), bookseller's label ("Chez Bonjour...") affixed to title over imprint, signature to lower right-hand corner of title ("le Moine"), nineteenth-century cloth-backed boards, light browning
