  • Collection of autograph letters by Dukas, Malipiero and Roussel, all apparently to the pianist and conductor Gustave Cloez (1890-1970)
Dukas, Paul. Autograph letter signed ("Paul Dukas"), about his Piano Sonata, discussing its length and difficulty, stating that it has been performed relatively frequently and noting that a wide variety of interpretations is always of interest to a composer ("...la diversité des interprétations interesse toujours un auteur..."), 3 pages, 8vo, 3 July 1918, with a copy of the 1906 edition of the sonata; with autograph letters by Roussel, 1 page, 13 October 1935, concerning a list of his works suitable for performance; together with items by Malipiero (2) and Mary Garden; and including signed photographic portraits by Respighi, Louis Vierne and a photograph of Wagner's funeral cortège (10 items in all)
