ff3 & pp.3-68, oblong 4to(c.22 x 32cms), fine engraved frontispiece by Girolamo Frezza after Antonio Meloni (featuring the opening of the first sonata), engraved title, composer's epistle (dated 1 January 1700) and music, second title ("Parte seconda") in an cartouche on p.40, modern red goatskin, early musical additions to p.45, early ownership inscription (cropped) over frontispiece ("Antonio Quattrini & hora di me Ignatio [?]Frangioni"), [Marx no.1; RISM CC 3800; Hoboken vol.16, no.54], a few stains, some repairs to corners (slight loss on 2 leaves)
