Catalogue Note

Rare: autograph material by Albéniz is seldom offered for sale.  We have not traced this zortzico in any library in the UK.  A zortzico  is a Basque dance in asymmetrical metre, Albéniz's example being in 5/8.  The dedicatee Marguerite Hasselmans was the mistress of Gabriel Fauré, a great friend of Albéniz.
