Catalogue Note
editio princeps of the Greek text of Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos, issued together with Joachim Camerarius's Latin translation of the first two books. This is Ptolemy's work on astrology, written to complement his astronomical treatise, the Almagest; "as the latter enables one to predict the positions of the heavenly bodies, so the former expounds the theory of their influences on terrestrial things" (DSB XI, p.198).
