Royal folio (428 x 295mm.), 294 leaves (of 297), c. 60 lines plus headline, Gothic letter, xylographic title-page, numerous woodcut illustrations, portraits, town views and maps (including 2 double-page maps), some repeated, by Wolgemut, Pleydenwurff and Dürer, early sixteenth-century German pigskin over wooden boards, central stamp on upper cover with the arms of Charles V, 2 clasps, lacking 3 leaves ([*]5-6 from table and fol. CCLXXXI), fos. CCLIX and CCLXXXV-CCLXXXVIII supplied from another copy, title-page damaged and repaired with loss, many leaves torn (some repaired, some with loss, including the map of Europe), some staining, rebacked, binding soiled and rubbed, lacking one catch; sold not subject to return
