Chancery folio (300 x 202mm.), 254 leaves, 62 lines of commentary plus headline, roman letter with some Greek, 4- to 8-line woodcut initials, paragraph-marks supplied in red and blue, eighteenth-century English red morocco gilt, spine gilt in compartments, gilt edges, a few early manuscript annotations, some damp-staining at beginning and end, a few small wormholes in text, small marginal tear to b5, small stain on [rum]5, binding rubbed and scraped, upper joint cracked, head of spine chipped

Catalogue Note

The works of Priscian the grammarian had been previously issued by Pincius in 1492: this edition has the description of the contents printed on the first leaf, in the manner of a title, whereas in the 1492 edition it appeared just before the colophon, and there was no title-page.
