8vo (168 x 118mm.), 552 leaves, double column, 50 lines plus headline, Gothic letter, woodcut printer's device (depicting St Peter) on title-page, 3- to 10-line initial spaces (a few supplied in red), contemporary limp vellum, title lettered in manuscript along foot of textblock, early manuscript index of readings added at end, a few headlines and printed marginalia cut close, small marginal repairs to gg1-2, gutter of quire pp water-damaged, binding slightly soiled, spine slightly cracked, lacking two pairs of ties
