Catalogue Note
January 1894 saw Wolf together with Bruckner in Berlin, where the latter's Symphony No.7 and Wolf's 'Elfenlied' and the choral version of the Mörike song 'Der Feuerreiter' were performed. Oskar Grohe, an Oberamtsrichter in Mannheim, belonged to Wolf's circle of close friends following their acquaintance in 1890.
