Description
- After Pablo Picasso
- Nature Morte a L'instrument de Musique
- Image: 255 by 188mm; 10 1/8 by 7 3/8 in
- Sheet: 295 by 223mm; 11 5/8 by 8¾in
Pochoir printed in colours, circa 1920, signed in pencil, numbered 23/100, on wove paper, with margins (reduced), scratches to the image, particularly to the green at right, handling creases, slight light-staining, glue residue at four corners of sheet verso, framed
Condition
The margins have been reduced to just below the signature at the lower edge. The mentioned scratches are most acute in the green at right where they are clearly visible, the other lesser scratches to the image are mostly only visible in a raking light. Please note the mentioned handling creases which affect the image. There appears to be slight foxing(?) in the white at the centre of the image. The remains of glue at the four corners of the sheet verso has caused the paper to cockle, which is visible recto.
