- Image: 565 by 252mm; 22ΒΌ by 10in
- Sheet: 570 by 333mm; 22 3/8 by 13in
Woodcut, 1918, a very good impression of the second state of three, signed in pencil, from the edition of between 120 and 180, printed by the artist, published by Kunstverein, Frankfurt, on sturdy blotting paper, with margins, three soft horizontal creases across the sheet, repaired tears at edges, other lesser defects
Condition
The three soft horizontal creases extend across the sheet, one at centre, and one in both the lower and upper half. The lower crease appears to have been repaired at right through the margin and approximately 20mm into the subject. There are three repaired tears in the upper margin, just extending into the image. The upper left corner of sheet repaired, one or two further tears, skillfully repaired at sheet edges.
The work presents itself well, but we would suggest inspecting this work at first hand before bidding.
