The emerald weighing 6.88 carats, flanked by pear-shaped diamonds weighing 1.50 carats, mounted in 18 karat gold, size 5½, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered N.Y. 50365. With signed pouch.
Condition
Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 41202 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin; clarity enhancement: insignificant (wax-type). The emerald is a slightly deeper more bluish green color than pictured in the printed catalogue, and is slightly to moderately included; a few of those inclusions reach the surface. Abrasions to the facet junctions and one surface-reaching fissure with associated internal feather. Diamonds are approximately G-H color and VS-SI clarity. Confirmed by Van Cleef & Arpels records to be manufactured in 1980.
