Description
- Ruby, diamond and platinum
The emerald-cut ruby weighing approximately 4.00 carats, flanked by baguette and trapeze-cut diamonds weighing approximately .70 carat, mounted in platinum, size 8ΒΌ.
Condition
Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 41089 stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin; heat enhancement: none. The ruby is a medium deep slightly purplish red color and is moderately included. A few of those inclusions reach the surface, minor abrasions to the girdle in several spots, and a more significant fissure near one corner, on the under side of the stone, close to a prong. The diamonds are approximately H-I color and VS-SI clarity. Scratching, nicking and evidence of previous sizing work to the shank, but in good condition overall.
