Description

  • David Webb
The articulated snake formed of scale-like links applied with translucent green enamel, the head decorated with numerous round diamonds, 1 cushion-shaped sapphire, 2 pear-shaped emerald eyes and a pear-shaped ruby tongue, mounted in 18 karat gold and platinum, signed Webb.

Condition

Good condition. The green enamel is applied in such a way that each scale is not entirely covered--this should not be mistaken for enamel loss. Some minor enamel loss near clasp. The round diamonds are approximately 3.20 carats total weight, F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. The deep blue sapphire, medium slightly bluish green emeralds and medium-deep purplish red ruby are eye-clean. Gross weight approximately 35 dwts., interior circumference approximately 6 inches. Fitted with a safety clasp.
