The pendant set in the center with a cushion-shaped emerald weighing approximately 25.50 carats, framed by calibré-cut emeralds and old European-cut, pear-shaped, marquise-shaped and baguette diamonds, anchored by 2 articulated fringes set with emerald-cut and baguette diamonds, calibré-cut emeralds and onyx segments, surmounted by an onyx ring accented with old European-cut diamonds, French-cut sapphire and calibré-cut emeralds, the pendant bail set with French-cut and cabochon sapphires and old European-cut diamonds, suspended from a black cord completed by a clasp enhanced by onyx segments framed by old European-cut diamonds, the total diamond weight approximately 13.95 carats, mounted in platinum, emerald and pendant bail a later replacement, length 19 inches, signed Mauboussin. With signed and fitted box.
Condition
The cushion-shaped emerald of very slightly bluish green hue, medium tone and moderately included with some minor surface reaching inclusions. The fringe set with 2 emerald-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.15 carats each, estimated color H-J, estimated clarity VVS-VS. Estimated color of remaining diamonds H-K, estimated clarity VS-SI. Minor wear to oval onyx circlet where pendant bail rubs. Some scratching to the reverse of the pendant, consistent with age and wear. With what appear to be Austrian Import marks, Mauboussin provided the consignor with the pendant bail and the fitted box approximately 6 years ago. Also note that the black cord is modern. In good condition.
