Description

The single strand composed of 77 natural pearls pearls measuring approximately 9.11 to 4.11 mm., completed by a navette-shaped clasp set with an antique marquise-shaped diamond weighing approximately 3.00 carats, mounted in platinum, length 20 inches.

Condition

The natural pearls, off-round in shape, ranging from predominantly cream bodycolor with the occasional silver bodycolor. Luster ranging from medium to poor and waxy. Some minor evidence of cracking and pitting. One pearl cracked in half. Estimated color of marquise diamond, Light Yellow, estimated clarity VS. In good condition. According to the family legend, the necklace was a 10th wedding anniversary gift presented in 1910 to the consignor's grandmother by his grandfather.
