Description
- Guanyin approximately 48.10 x 32.00 x 7.00mm.
The highly translucent jadeite of rich emerald green colour carved as a Guanyin, embellished by a mandorla ring and a support pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, surmounted by an oval yellow diamond-set loop, mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the jadeite 'Guanyin' has very fine translucency, of even and strong emerald green colour. Upon illumination, there are some clouds, mostly close to the lower bottom and on the reverse, but generally not seen in normal lighting and distance. The 'Guanyin' carving has good proportion and nice thickness. The oval yellow diamond set in the surmount weighs approximately 0.70 carat, of about intense yellow colour, VS2 to SI1 clarity which all inclusions are close to girdle. Diamonds together weighing approximately 0.65 carat, of about G to H colours, VS clarity.
Condition: Traditional topic in jadeite carving in a classic pendant mount, setting is flipped to open on the reverse to show the thickness and translucency of the piece, overall, in excellent condition.
