Description
- Buddhas approximately 41.20 x 26.50 x 8.00 mm and 15.55 x 21.70 x 3.30 mm respectively.
One of highly translucent icy jadeite material carved as a laughing Buddha, decorated with brilliant-cut diamond-set scrolls extending to the surmount, highlighted by two translucent jadeite huaigus of emerald green colour, mounted in 18 karat blackened gold; the other of highly translucent emerald green jadeite carved as a laughing Buddha, framed by brilliant-cut diamonds extending to the surmount, highlighted by an oval ruby, mounted in 18 karat white gold; accompanied by two necklaces of matching design, each length approximately 400 mm. Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the standing icy jadeite 'Buddha' is almost semi-transparent, showing some cloudy inclusions upon illumination which are not seen in normal distance. The two small jadeite huaigus have fine translucency, of medium emerald green colour. The other sitting jadeite 'Buddha' is highly translucent, of medium light emerald green colour. Upon strong illumination and close check, there are a few minor clouds. The ruby is of intense red colour, eye clean. Tiny diamonds on both pendants together weighing approximately 1.10 carats, are probably of H to I colours, VS to SI1 clarity.
Condition: Both 'Buddha' have pleasing smiling faces and good proportions, all in mint condition.
