JADEITE, ROCK CRYSTAL AND DIAMOND BROOCH

Of single flower design, the crescent-shaped stem set with a highly translucent jadeite of celadon tone, the flower carved with rock crystal embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds, set to the reverse with mother-of-pearl, the terminal and leaves pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold, signed C. De Vecchi, Italy.

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the jadeite section has very good translucency, of celadon tone, with splash of apple green at the upper-end, fine texture. Diamonds are probably of H to I colours, VS to SI1 clarity. Carved rock crystal is transparent and colourless, backed by piece of white mother-of-pearl with pearly lustre. Maker's mark, quality mark and Italian trade marks to the mount. Condition: Creative design with clever play of gem materials. Very minor signs of wear, otherwise in very good condition, almost as new.
