IMPRESSIVE NATURAL PEARL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE AND PAIR OF MATCHING PENDENT EARRINGS

The necklace suspending a fringe of nine natural pearls measuring approximately 10.00-12.45 x 15.95 to 10.95-13.20 x 22.65 mm, each surmounted by a diamond-set cap and a diamond bead, the necklace composed of ten strands of seed pearls of pink to purplish-green hues measuring approximately 2.84 to 3.84 mm, linked by pear-shaped, oval and rose-cut diamonds, each within a conforming surround of pavé-set brilliant-cut diamonds, terminated to the back with two drop-shaped pearls each within a diamond-set frame, length approximately 400 mm; and pair of matching pendent earrings, each suspending a drop-shaped pearl of matching size and colour, to a diamond-set surmount of matching design, the diamonds altogether weighing approximately 24.99 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold. Colour and Clarity: Please note the necklace has been re-strung after certification. According to previous Gübelin report, all nine drop-shaped pearls on necklace and earrings are natural saltwater pearls, with no indications of colour enhancement. Other small pearls on necklace, by random testing, are also natural saltwater pearls. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, all nine pearls on necklace and earrings are of slightly baroque-drop shape, medium to good lustre. The two pearls on earrings are of very light silver purplish-grey colour with rosé overtone. Other seven pearls on necklace are of very light silver grey, light to medium silver purplish-grey, and medium grey colours, with medium rosé and green overtones. Two pearls set to the clasp, not tested, are probably of the same origin, baroque shape, silver to silver-purplish colour. Overall, the pearls show surface blemishes as dents and irregulars. Two pearls on necklace have minor surface cracks to the back, not seen to the front. All blemishes are generally not noticeable when worn. Small pearls are of baroque shape, medium to deep orange-purple and purple colours, medium to good lustre. The diamonds are probably of G to H colours, VS to SI clarity. Condition: Set of dressy pearl jewellery, overall in excellent condition.
