EMERALD, PEARL AND DIAMOND 'CROSS' PENDANT
Estimate

Description
Of openwork design, composed of six bezel-set step-cut emeralds together weighing approximately 7.00 carats, embellished by four pearls and old mine-cut diamonds, accompanied by a stylised gold chain, length approximately 620 mm, mounted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to AGL report, the emeralds on pendant are natural, of Colombian origin, with insignificant to faint oil clarity enhancement. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the emeralds are of medium, intense green colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, there are surface abrasions and tiny chips on all stone (both emeralds and diamonds) surfaces, probably consistent to its age. The old-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 0.70 carat, are of about J to tinted colours, SI clarity. Four pearls are of off-round to slightly drop shape, cream white colour, medium to good lustre, with minor surface blemishes and abrasions.
Condition: The pendant is probably dated back to late 19th century. Consistent to its age and use, there are general abrasions to the metal, repair marks seen to the reverse, and a tiny scrolling karat gold motif missing which is not noticeable unless careful check. Overall, the pendant is in fair to good condition. Vintage karat gold link chain shows signs of wear, otherwise in good to very good condition.
